Robert Half has partnered with a management company in Aurora in search of a Controller! The Controller position is paying $100,000-$125,000 bonus and amazing benefits and PTO!

The Controller will be responsible for the following:

• Managing all finance and accounting operations and personnel
• Coordinating and directing the preparation and closing of month-end and year-end financial statements for independent audit or review
• Preparation of financial forecasts and report variances
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements
• Manage all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and bank reconciliation, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Establishes & monitors overall accounting policies, internal controls, and accounting practice
• Oversees accounts receivables to ensure timely and accurate application of billings and cash receipts
• Collaborates with operations on best practices and cost-saving initiatives
• Responsible for all cash management & daily cash forecasting functions
• Coordinates the annual audit/review, bank audits, tax audits, and insurance audits. Primary contact for CPA firms, banks, and insurance brokers

Requirements for the Controller include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 10 years of accounting experience
• 2 years of supervisory experience of a small accounting staff
• Experience working one of the following industries: multi-entity, multi-location, real estate, hospitality, HOA management, retail, property management, government, non-profit, country clubs
